Galeria was also the space where small-cast plays of IPAG and Tibo’s one-man standup comedy acts were performed.)

In August 2027, IPAG turns fifty. The Anniversary golden.

To banner 50 years of a sustained and exceptional presence in Philippine Arts, Letters, and Performance, the INTEGRATED PERFORMING ARTS GUILD (IPAG) celebrates performing iconic productions that have enthralled millions worldwide.

(Center) Also attending was MSU-IIT Research Director Luis Lacar. (Right) The Galeria was performance space for Steven Fernandez’s one-man comedy shows, a series entitled “Are you Serious?”

Capping our 50th Season is “Ranaw: Isang Alamat” which chained IPAG’s engagements with the country’s premier institution – the CCP.  With “Ranaw” are other iconic pieces: “Tales From Mindanao,” “Tatlo sa Isa,” “Sita: The Ramayana Revisited,” “Marlen,” and new experimental plays.

Growing on the fringes, IPAG narrates engrossing vignettes that highlight how the Philippines’ most-travelled and most-awarded repertory company has soared amid the challenges, where Art and Theatre are always relegated to the background of loving.

Rare to note that a performing company that grew outside of the confines of metropolitan centers like Manila has contributed to half-a-century of prominence in Philippine Performing Arts It survived in the fringes of pastoral locations, yet established its prominence on the World Stage.

IPAG is the only integrated performing company on the fringes that has maintained its broad presence. It brings along 48 continuous Seasons that have produced over 50 full-length productions, the majority of these original, a number of these representing the country in over 100 international festivals to millions.

Besides tagging the reputation of being the most-travelled Philippine integrated repertory company, IPAG can also claim to be the most-awarded. It has been recognized with the highest accolades in Philippine Culture and the Arts for both the Guild and its artists: the CCP GAWAD para sa Sining, CCP Gador, CCP Pilak, NCCA Sudi Music, UMPIL, ITI Intl Lampara para sa Kulutra at Sining, ASTROFIL Spain Excellence Awards for Culture and the Arts, Humanitarian Award for Culture and the Arts (Karanaka, India), Palanca, Francisco Demetrio, CCP Gantimpala, UP Likhaan, and a list of other international and national awards.

Training artists by the thousands who now lead the culture-arts initiatives around the country, IPAG has institutionalized its Pedagogy through formalized courses and workshops.

Fifty Years will be another Milestone Marker.
